The STIHL MSA 300 C-O R battery-powered rescue saw has a number of special features designed for the fire service to make rescue operations faster and more efficient. As the first battery-powered rescue saw from STIHL, it enables firefighters and rescue workers to work precisely and even saw through resistant materials such as sheet metal, bitumen sheets and reinforced glass. Especially in areas where exhaust fumes are undesirable, the rescue saw, which is equipped with the extremely robust STIHL Rapid Duro R carbide saw chain and its reinforcement of impact-resistant carbide plates, offers great added value.
Thanks to the powerful STIHL AP 500 S battery developed for this chain saw, the enormous electrical power of 3.0 kW is converted into a chain speed of up to 30 m/s. A further advantage of the STIHL MSA 300 C-O R is its weather-resistant and durable design. STIHL’s anti-vibration system reduces vibrations and relieves strain on muscles and joints. The oil sensor also continuously measures the amount of chain oil, helping you to work with as few interruptions as possible.

With a maximum chain speed of 30 m/s and three operating modes, it has a wide range of applications and is ideal for a variety of tasks, from felling and delimbing medium-sized trees to building work with timber.

Chain tension from the side
The chainsaw has chain tension from the side and integrated lock nuts for quick chain changes, and the tool-free oil tank cap makes it easy to refill.
The oil pump flow can be adjusted as needed and the LED display indicates when the oil level is low.
The MSA 300 C-O also has an integrated air filter that protects the engine and electronics from even the finest saw dust and contributes to its long service life.

Electronic control panel
The MSA 300 C-O has an electronic control panel with LED display that provides the user with clear information about the chainsaw’s status and chain brake.
The new activation button together with the throttle lock are easy to reach and further contribute to safe use.
Adjustable Oil Pump
The volume-regulating oil pump reduces the chainsaw’s oil consumption by up to 50 percent. To achieve this, set the control to the E marking, which stands for economy mode. For very long bars or very dry wood, the oil quantity can be adjusted up manually.
Electronics with derating
Downgrading at high engine temperature: at high temperatures due to extra high load, the electronics reduce the current. Instead of the engine switching off, you can finish the cut using the derating function. Derating at low battery level: when the battery is running low (approx. last LED on the battery), the electronics also reduce the current. As a user, you will feel the clear reduction in power that it is time to charge the battery, but with the derating you can complete the cut.

Keeps even fine dust and dirt away from the electronics and the electric motor. To clean, remove the air filter and spray it with STIHL Varioclean, rinse it with warm water after it has been allowed to act for a short time and let it dry. Then it is ready to start again.
Control lever with potentiometer function
For comfortable use. The soft components in the handle lie comfortably in the hand and make driving both easy and safe. In addition, the soft coating ensures a secure grip, especially when wet.
Oil sensor (O)
The oil sensor clearly shows the status of the chain oil level with an LED. If the LED is off, there is enough saw chain oil in the system. When the light is red, it is time to top up.
Note: You can only use all functions of this cordless chainsaw with a STIHL AP 500 S battery installed. If other STIHL batteries are used, we cannot guarantee that all functions are available or that maximum sawing performance is achieved.
